Antonio Selvi

Antonio Selvi

1755

Little is known of the background of Antonio Francesco Selvi before his arrival in Florence in 1698. A pupil of Massimiliano Soldani, a bronze-worker, sculptor, medallist and goldsmith, Selvi was primarily a maker of bronze medals. He made personal portrait medals and also produced a large series of medals commemorating the Medici family.
