Elden Cecil Tefft
1919 - 2015
Elden was a professor of Art at the University of Kansas from 1950 - 1990. He received his BA in 1949 and his MFA in 1950 from KU, studying under Bernard Frazier. He completed advanced work at the Cranbrook Academy of Art. Professor Tefft founded the Sculpture Department at KU. In 1960, Tefft established a conference for sculptors that led to the founding of the International Sculpture Center now located in New Jersey.
