Gary Hood

Gary Hood was born in Wichita, KS and is a Native American, a member of the Choctaw tribe. He received his MFA (1975) Printmaking - Wichita State University. He was a Ford Foundation Fellow and founding Curator of the Ulrich Museum of Art at WSU. He has worked at Walker Art Center in Minneapolis; the Museum of the Southwest in Midland, TX; and the Institute of American Indian Arts Museum in Santa Fe, NM; as well as serving as senior curator at the Gilcrease Museum in Tulsa, OK. He was the curator of Art at the West Point Museum.
