Gordon Moore

Gordon was born in Cherokee, IA and grew up in Derby, Kansas. In his senior year of high school, the family moved to Seattle, WA. He received his BFA (1970) - University of Washington and his MFA (1972) - Yale University. He is a full-time artist who had his first New York show in the mid 1970's. He has received numerous awards and grants including the National Endowment for the Arts-Visual Artist Fellowship; the Louis Comfort Tiffany Foundation Award in Painting; the Academy Award in Art from the American Academy of Arts & Letters; and a Pollock Krasner Foundation grant. Gordon lives in New York City.
