Hans Schiebold
1937 - 2013
Hans was born in Frieberg, Germany and immigrated to the US in 1962. He received his BA - Brigham Young University and his MFA (1970) - Hartford Art School at University of Hartford, CT. He was a Professor of Art at Wesleyan University, Middletown, CT (1970-1978). He was a Professor of Art at Wichita State University (1978-1982). In 1982 he moved to Portland to become a full-time artist. His work has moved from abstract painting to a more representational mode.
