Jean de Court (Master IC II)

Limoges enameller responsible for a dish in the Robert Lehman Collection, Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York (inv. no. 1975.1.1232), noted for his brightly coloured enamels, extensive use of shining metal leaf (paillons), and his somewhat mediocre draughtsmanship. This Master has been identified as either Jehan Court Vigier (c. 1575-c. 1635) or Jehan Court (c. 1585 – c. 1631).
