Luella Grace Vaccaro

Luella was born in Miles City, MT. She studied at the University of Washington and the University of California, Berkley. She joined the US Air Force in 1952. She was crowned Queen at the 1954 US Air Force Beauty Contest in Biloxi, MS. She met her husband, Nick, a fellow artist while both were working at the Pentagon in Washington DC. She moved to Lawrence in 1963. She was listed in Who's Who in American Art. She passed away in 2019 in Lawrence, KS.
