Robert Branaman
1933 - Present
Robert Branaman was born in Wichita, KS and studied at Wichita State University. He then moved to San Francisco in the 1950's as part of the Kansas Vortex which included Charles Plymell, Michael McClure and Bruce Conner. In 1963 he moved to Big Sur, while also spending time in New York City. He was a Beat Generation Poet, painter, and film producer and continues to make avant garde art today.
