Leather bound with red tooled gilt on the spine. First dictionary of the American English language written by Noah Webster and published in 1806. Predates his American Dictionary of 1828 which was the first unabridged dictionary published of American usage.

Provenance Narrative Owned by Charles Stubbs in 1808.
