A Cornish Holiday

Whilst Maida Vale was her permanent home, Dorothea Sharp settled in St Ives from 1940-1946, where her skill for painting children and portraying Cornwall’s coastal light brought renown. As in our painting, her models were her nephew and nieces, painted in situ. Purchased from artist in 1936.
