These decorative four-light candelabra are in the style of French sculptor Étienne Falconet. Made in the 18th century, female standing figures hold aloft four candles on naturalistic branches embellished with floral sprays. They are made of bronze, gilded with a finely ground, high-carat gold–mercury amalgam, a technique known as ormolu.
