A Piedmontese Ivory and Mother-of-Pearl Inlaid Bureau-Cabinet

The bureau-cabinet comprises of mother of pearl and ivory inlays with rosewood and walnut veneers.

The Derby Bedroom is full of light due to the dual aspect windows and the mother of pearl inlays on the cabinet catch the sunlight making it almost glow. Piedmontese, in the style of Pietro Piffetti, the cabinet inlays depict architectural fantasies and figures.

Internally the bureau has numerous small drawers holding a variety of collector’s enthusiasms such as geological specimens, military badges and buttons.
