A Set of Three Mahogany Cutlery Boxes

The three mahogany Sheraton style cutlery boxes are banded in kingwood and inlaid with satinwood and ebonised fillets with silver mounts engraved with the Atholl crest.

The boxes are an example of how skilled the cabinet makers were during the 1800s. These boxes would have contained a silver cutlery service, which would have travelled with the family as they moved between their residences.
