Befriending Uncertainty

This painting began one day as I was reflecting on walking the Camino where I feel I learnt so much about uncertainty.

Accepting the path whatever it brought never knowing what was around the next corner I found I walked differently and with more gratitude.

This painting was painted during the height of lockdown due to covid here in Melbourne which magnified feelings of uncertainty in so many of us the world over.

In struggling to embrace and befriend uncertainty I am finding it can also become a teacher bringing me in to the present befriending any pain it invites intention, wholeness solidarity and connection with others and results in increased acceptance and gratitude

Poem Befriending Uncertainty

The futures everchanging path, with new discoveries around each bend. Uncertainty perhaps life’s precious gift we make peace with in embracing to plan with non-attachment and let go so come present to life’s moving flow. Enjoying the challenge of adventure perhaps brings certain liberation Acceptance emerges and a sense gratitude For each other and our worlds creation.
