Candlestick (82.131)

Brass candlestick with a square molded base supports a turned, baluster-like stem. This stem, in turn, supports the slightly bulbous shaft, swelling downward. The cylindrical nozzle is topped with a wide upward turned lip. The lip, nozzle, shaft, stem, and base, are all cast separately, then soldered together. The lead solder is visible at the point of jointure.
