The Potters’ Arts Guild was officially established in 1904 to provide an essential source of creative and economic support for the local Compton community. Run as a guild, the workers had financial investment in the business.

This garden pot, known as the ‘Castle Leslie’ design, was commissioned for Castle Leslie in County Monaghan, Ireland. Although attractive, the design was deemed impractical as the shallow bowl made the pot too top-heavy on its narrow-twisted stem....
