White cotton chemise with eyelet embroidered yoke. Center front closure fastened with two glass buttons. Machine-embroidered cap sleeves with slits at shoulders.
Provenance Narrative Part of a set of lingerie including a robe and drawers (see 87.39.2-3). They would have been sold ready-made as a set, and feature machine-made embroidery.
