Tied beiderwand coverlet made with white and blue cotton warp (3 ply S twist) and blue cotton weft (2 ply S twist) Field blue double lily and starburst center with rose and crow borders. Made in two panels sewn down the center, with a white self-fringe.
Provenance Narrative Owned by Zelanda Carlton and woven by Peter Uhl. THree coverlets woven by Uhl are mentioned int eh Checklist... one signed and dated 1838 is overshot; another jacquard is dated 1841. Trumbull Co. OHio.
