Design for a painted porcelain plate, square format. Scene at a masquerade party in a bar. Figure of a man dressed in a lion's costume, center forground, has his arms around a young woman dressed as Diana who he appears to be kissing. She wears a crescent crown and holds a bow. She tells him to "take his paws off of her." She has her right foot planted on a platform upon which is a table with two wine bottles and a stool, left middleground. Behind an arched opening, right background, there are two costumed figures who appear to be dancing.
