Fruit wallpaper

This Morris & Co. wallpaper known as Fruit or Pomegranate decorates the morning room at 18 Stafford Terrace. When the Sambournes first moved into the house in 1875, they decorated almost all the rooms in Morris & Co. paper costing over £35 (over £4,000 in today's money). In the following years, many of wallpapers were replaced by Japanese papers, but the morning room has retained its original Morris & Co. scheme. Maud refreshed the morning room papers in 1912 but chose to keep the same pattern. Fruit or Pomegranate was one of Morris & Co.’s earliest designs and came in two colours: cream and blue, both of which can be seen in the morning room....
