Funeral portrait of a woman; from Antinoopolis in Egypt, painted in tempera on linen with gypsum and gold leaf additions. The dead person is portrayed full-face with wide-open eyes, wearing precious jewellery, and holding the Egyptian Ankh symbol in her left hand. Dating to the 3rd c. AD, it is considered one of the best of its kind. Gift of Konstantinos Choremis.
