Clock in the form of a celestial globe, c.1712-20

This clock was supplied by Monbro files âiné for John Bowes' dressing room at his country house at Louveciennes in 1857. There were several Martins working in Paris in the early 18th century and the maker of this clock has not yet been identified. The clock has bronze mounts signed Monbro which are later additions when Monbro restored the clock.
