Transcript from Rosalind's audio tour: --- The bay, with its generous expanse of sea and sky, sets the mood in this neighbourhood – now serene, now sullen, turbulent or menacing, skittish, joyful… changing moment by moment as the weather rolls across. It reminds us of everything we can’t control. Even the sand has a its own rhythms — shifting inexorably as fast as we replenish it. My nearest beach is too well protected to be a beach-comber’s delight. But shells wash up (mainly bivalves - pipis, cockles, oysters), doomed jellyfish, various seaweeds, sea grasses… obscure messengers from another world.
