Nursing during The Troubles

The dedication and commitment of Nurses and Midwives in caring for the injured during The Troubles mirrors what we are seeing today in the fight against Coronavirus.

Miss M.K. Robb Matron of the royal Victoria Hospital 1966-73 recalls… “I had a tremendous pride in the staff throughout the Troubles. I never had to worry about the overtime budget ... the nursing staff just stayed on duty when a major incident occurred”
