Plate 5, from Bullarum Inaurium etc. Archetypi Artificiosi Pars Altera (Pendants, Earrings, etc. Designs of the Most Skillful Nature, Part Two)
A pendant in the form of a mythical beast perched on a strapwork base is suspended from a bow knot. The base is composed of faceted gems, a shell and dragons, and is hung with three drop pearls. Riding on the monster's back is a male figure holding an oar.
