Remote by Beth Livensperger was included in the Duluth Art Institute online Response exhibtion that called for artists to reflect on how they are processing and observing effects of the pandemic.

Livensperger, "For the past year I've been making large ink drawings of women in offices. When the pandemic hit and my own job was moved to home, I decided to make a piece about the empty spaces left behind. This was simply to acknowledge that these spaces of forced community - often featuring tension and stress as well as camaraderie - have been temporarily silenced. And to muse about the epochal shift in office culture this pandemic is likely to bring about."
