Suit worn by Jacqueline Kennedy

As first lady, Jackie Kennedy had the majority of her clothes custom made by Chez Ninon, a New York City clothier who received special permission from Parisian fashion houses to create replica garments that were “made in America.” However, the fabric and buttons were often supplied by the original designer. The pink “Chanel” suit that Kennedy was wearing the day that her husband was assassinated by her side while riding in a motorcade though Dallas, Texas, was also made by Chez Ninon, as was this gray wool “Givenchy” suit.
