Tenderness
'Tenderness' is a specific assembly of wood resulting from a poetic approach to the material. It is part of a series of work made over a few years and across different sites. Like a hygroscopic substance absorbing moisture from the air that surrounds it, this barometer takes advantage of the fragility of the wood vascular network to bear witness to its relationship to water and to bend indefinitely, by the alternation of the rain and sun. Once installed indoors, after having received several showers and clearings, the work freezes and reveals a curve specific to each unique piece.
