Terracotta kyathos (cup-shaped ladle)
Between eyes, woman playing aulos (double flute); at the handle, doves
It is impossible to determine whether the woman is a maenad (a follower of the god of wine, Dionysos) or an entertainer and whether some comparison is being drawn between the sounds produced by the musician and the birds.
