This final piece that I sculpted represents how all great stories engage the human heart. The illustrations on the heart show the battle scars of both our hero and heroine. The bird that sits upon the heart is Athena, who is "patron of human ingenuity." This literal representation of the human heart emphasizes the impact these universal stories have on all of us.
