The Vulnerable Disposition

'The Vulnerable Disposition' expresses the awareness of an individual’s racial and genetic makeup. Having no control over the health conditions they are born with, there is a feeling of isolation under the conditions of physical, economic, emotional, and social vulnerability. The heavy amounts of imitation gold leaf signify the decay of the body and the mind as it continues to oxidise over time, highlighting the challenges we face with health and ageing as we try to contain moments of history and youth in the present.
