Theseus restoring Helen to the brothers Castor and Pollux
The group of intaglios to which this piece belongs (61.109.1–.7) appears to derive from the collection of Prince Poniatowski, which contained innumerable forgeries signed with the names of famous antique engravers. See also 20.80.2 and 41.160.565.
