It Never Felt Like This

Tracey Emin is a central figure among the so-called ‘Young British Artists’, who achieved notoriety in the 1990s with their often controversial practices. Emin’s works are characterised by their focus on deeply intimate experiences from her life. Here text and illustration combine in an expressive, emotionally charged statement that might allude to personal relationships or, as in much of Emin’s production, to her own sexual history.
