Pommel of a rapier, barrel-shaped, tapering slightly towards the top, slightly flattened in the plane of the blade. Roughly chiselled in high relief with a multitude of equestrian figures on one side, and on the other a male and female on horseback in contemporary costume under an archway, with other figures at the sides, two of them supporting a crown above; flat button.
About 1600; nationality uncertain.
