Fragment of a marble grave stele with the head of a youth
Marble | 24.8 x 24.8cm | 1st quarter of the 5th century B.C.
The very short hair, well-defined jaw, and unsmiling mouth identify this as a work of the early fifth century B.C. The eye was originally inset.
