Terracotta oinochoe:olpe (jug)

Four friezes with animals

Olpai were greatly favored by Corinthian artists, particularly during the last three decades of the seventh century. The decoration consists almost exclusively of animal friezes; there are virtually no examples with narrative figural subjects.
