The history of Lelystad - the polder

Spraycan artist Elmer Tuinstra made this awesome detailed mural and art trilogy in Lelystad. In the mural, you can see part of Lelystad's history from the past to the present (from left to right). From the wild ‘Zuiderzee’ on one side to the modern landscape of Lelystad nowadays. Elmer specializes in realistic still lifes, portraits, and landscapes. You can find this work at the Leonardo hotel in Lelystad!

The adjacent wall (around the corner) is focused on the wildlife in the area around Lelystad. Elmer Tuinstra created the mural with local artist Remon Koreman. In the mural, you can see all kinds of animals and nature native to the national park in Lelystad, the Oostvaardersplassen.
