Drawing inspiration from natural and medical history, Frankie’s work is largely informed by time spent sketching specimens in museums and observing plants and wildlife during her travels. Occasionally her work leans towards a darker side through the exploration of morbid and sinister themes. At other times, you could say quite the opposite - Frankie is known for creating colourful, dynamic and uplifting pieces. She hopes that as her work develops it could be used as a platform to encourage others to think about environmental concerns. Quote from Frankie -“If you’ve got a cracked, crusty old wall in an abandoned house, it’s something to work with and around… I can’t paint canvases they’re just too… blank!”
