Cary

The Cary family had a business on the Strand throughout the 19th Century. They were members of the Goldsmiths Company. They were particularly known for their globes and planispheres. The most prolific was William Cary (c.1759-1825) who was an apprentice of Jesse Ramsden and who was the founder of the Cary dynasty.
