Francis Hayman

c. 1707 - 1776

Hayman was the painter of numerous conversation pieces, theatrical scenes and decorations, especially those for Vauxhall Gardens in the 1740s. He was influential in the introduction of the French rococo element into English painting during the first half of the eighteenth century.
