Stef Hodgson

Stef is a pattern artist, activist and the founder of Couch Empire. Her collection of mandalas is about the process of waking up joy.

Bold lines and pops of colour subvert expectations about what a mandala should be and creates something unexpected.

Process is a huge part of her work. She uses a compass and protractor to rule out a circular grid and then the rest is free hand drawing.
