Sue Mundill Wood

Sue MUNDILL WOOD was born in Kent in 1955 and joined the Womens' Royal Army Corps on a Short Service Commission in January 1981. She served at the Royal Engineer Postal Depot at Millhill in London for three months prior to assuming the position of Platoon Commander with 29 WRAC Company based at the British Army on the Rhine HQ in Rheindahlen in Germany. From there she was appointed as Assistant Adjutant at the Regimental HQ of 25 Engineer Regiment which was then based in Osnabruck. Having volunteered for training as a Photographic Interpreter and undergone training at the Joint School of Photographic Interpretation at RAF. Wyton near St.Ives, Cambridgeshire she was posted to the Joint Air Reconnaissance Intelligence Centre at RAF Brampton where she worked for over 2 years. On leaving the military, in the rank of Captain, she worked in London as the Research Manager for Ward Executive - a firm of headhunters who worked for defence, paper mills and the dockyards industries. Moving to Lossiemouth in January 1989 she set up her own business undertaking research for a number of London based headhunting businesses. Having taken a break to raise a family, Sue retrained as a podiatrist qualifying in August 2000 and was accepted onto the Health Care and Professional Council register. She worked in Forres, Elgin and Lossiemouth running her own business for the following 18 years retiring in 2018. She gained a Masters in Forensic Science and Criminal Law in 2018 majoring in Forensic Podiatry from Leicester University. In 2020 Sue took part in the Warrior Programme. a programme which has been developed over the past ten years to meet the demands and challenges experienced by past and present members of the armed forces and their families.
