Thomas Coleman

Thomas Coleman was born in Wichita, KS and studied at the Wichita Art Association, and under David Bernard at Wichita State University. He received his AB (1957) and his MFA (1963) from the University of Kansas, where he studied under John Talleur. He was a professor of Art at both KU and the University of Nebraska. His work is in many national collections including: Library of Congress, William Rockhill Nelson Gallery of Art, Kansas City, MO; St. Louis City Art Museum; Springfield Art Museum; Hanover College, Hanover, IN; Auburn University; and Joslyn Art Museum, Omaha, NE. He passed away in 1971 in Lincoln, NE.
