Study for the Portrait of Madame Eyraud-Vaillant

This work is a preparatory drawing for a portrait painted by Modigliani in the last year of his life. He added a section of paper in order to show the whole sitter, but abandoned the idea of a full-length portrait in composing the finished piece.
