Gilded Cut-Glass Candlestand

A tall glass candle holder has a baluster shaped base (d) and a hurricane shade (a). The base has a pedestal with large and small lobed protrusions in two bands. Those on the upper base have white painted rosettes. The elogated pear shaped body has similar faceting with white painted floral sprays. At the top ot the neck is a scalloped, shallow dish (c) from which lusters with cut edges are suspended. A shade holder (b) screws into the body and also features lobed and white painted walls. The elogated shade has a fluted edge and columns of white painted rosettes and sprigs along its sides under each fluted peak.
