Polychrome Cuerda Seca Tile Panel with Vase Motif

Unknown Artist

15 square tiles and 20 border tiles are joined together to
form a scenic panel on a yellow background with a large
cobalt vase at center. The vase is ornamented with yellow
feathers flanking a rosette. A floral spray issues forth from
the vase while green multi-form medallion is below the vase.
A pair of diving birds flank the diamond medallion while floral
sprays, leafy sprigs, and cloud bands densely fill the
remaining ground. The panel is bordered by an inner band of
meandering floral vines on a cobalt ground and a narrow
outer band of inverted yellow and cobalt trefoils.
