Bottle-Shaped Vase

Unknown Artist

Porcelain with this dense floral millefleurs decoration and a multitude of overglaze enamel colors was first made in the Qing dynasty imperial workshops in Beijing, patronized by the Yongzheng emperor who reigned during 1723-35. This design must have been challenging for porcelain painters to master and remained popular into the late 1800s.
