Design for a Sepulchral Monument of King Louis XVI of France

The base is a variation of 1938-88-1288, with urns at the corners, the rest a variation of 1938-88-1289. The entire front of the lower part of the pedestal is treated like that of a sarcophagus, with two half-figures of putti supporting a wreath, and with a triangular pediment and two acroteria. Beside the upper part of the pedestal sit two female allegories, the left one with a sheep lying in her lap. A festoon is in the front of the main part. One more angel is added at right from the cross, with a book of a tablet. Usual background.
