Horizontal rectangle. Design for the cresting of a comb intended to be executed in gilded metal with diamonds and an engraved gem. In the center of an escutcheon formed by rinceaux, an engraved oval gem with the figure of Heracles resting upon his club. Nine comb tines are sketched in pen and ink below.
