Edie Jo Murray at Gourmet Kitchen

Coventry based artist, Edie Jo Murray, has re-imagined aspects of Coventry post-war architecture as a compilation of features of buildings from a series of local stories.

Edie collected stories told by Coventrians, with one storyteller suggesting the next as a series of community connections. These stories, linked together, informed the buildings or parts of the city that Edie virtually combined and constructed, with parts old and new adjoining seamlessly, much like the city itself.

The Show Windows: Reflections, which is produced as part of the Coventry City of Culture 2021 programme, is inspired by the post-war architecture that has defined Coventry city centre for many years.

The Show Windows: Reflections is co-produced in partnership by Coventry City of Culture Trust, Coventry Business Improvement District and RIBA with Historic England. The Show Windows: Reflections is funded by Arts Council England and Historic England.
